There is a rising trend amongst college and university students who are losing the understanding of the following concept:

As Aristotle once put it (Metaphysics)

The free exchange of thoughts broadens perspective and understanding, it’s what learning is about: introducing yourself to new and challenging ideas.
It doesn’t require adoption of the ideas, taking anything personally, or escalating emotionally. Just understanding the idea unattached.
“Discussion” means a conversation to exchange ideas or reach decisions.

We humans have the cognitive ability to put ourselves in another’s shoes. To adopt or entertain different viewpoints through observation and language.
I suggest we keep training those.
For wisdom, empathy and compassion.
